Frequently Asked Questions

Who are your clients? What demographic do you serve?

I specialize in training middle aged and older adults (>40 years young) but have experience coaching and training at every age level and experience level.

Is Online Personal Training Right For You?

  1. Online personal training is a great option for people who are busy or have messy schedules that do not permit face to face meetings with a trainer each week. If you cannot commit to a set time with a trainer, or it is just more convenient to have flexibility in your training times (most people), then online personal training is a great option.

  2. Online training services are generally cheaper than in person training as well, so if you are on a budget, this is a good option.

  3. With online training in a mobile app, you have access to a workout program tailored to you whenever you want (or more importantly, whenever you have time!).

  4. Online personal training is great for those of you who have a home gym, or have access to a commercial gym or other fitness facility and just need a program to get you started or keep you going.

Online Personal Training Might Not Be For You If…

Online personal training is not a good fit for everyone. It might not be a good fit for you if you do not have a home gym or do not have access to a commercial gym - Online training obviously does not provide the space for you to actually do the workout, which is kind of important… So if you don’t have access to a gym, or have the means to build your own home gym, online training services won’t be very beneficial for you until you get access to a gym.

Online training might not be a good fit for you if you need a lot of coaching or feedback during the workout, or if you prefer to have that one-on-one accountability that in person training offers.

What Can I Expect To Pay For An Online Training Package?

Industry standard for personal training runs somewhere between $30-$125 for a one hour session depending on where you live and what services the trainer offers. For a 3-day/week training plan, this equates to approximately $400-$1500 a month, or $1,000 - $4,500 for a 3 month package. Online training programs are usually cheaper because they do not have a face to face component and may not be personalized. My B Tier package starts at $30/week and runs for 8 weeks ($240 total). The A Tier package is $45/week with your choice of an 8, 12, or 16 week program ($360-$720). The S Tier package is $60/week with your choice of an 8, 12, or 16 week program ($480-$960). You can learn more about these products and services on my Online Personal Training page.

Why Should I Start A Home Gym?

Home gyms are great. I love my home gym. I workout in it all the time! Here are my top reasons you should start a home gym:

  1. Saves Time - You do not have to drive to and from a commercial gym! Any time you can avoid traffic (yuck) and minimize the time spent in a vehicle, that is a win in my book. This gives you precious time with family or just doing whatever else you want to do!

  2. Saves Money (in the long run) - Yes, I know what you are thinking, home gym equipment is not cheap, but think of how much money you spend for a monthly gym membership. A monthly gym membership for the rest of your life versus a one time payment for equipment that you can use for the rest of your life will ultimately save you money in the long run. A home gym is still cheaper than a gym membership even if that gym membership is just for half or a quarter of your life!

  3. No Jockeying for Equipment - At a commercial gym you have to compete with other people for equipment which can be really frustrating. I once had a guy steal a spring collar straight out of my hand without asking (or even acknowledging my existence). Suffice it to say, commercial gyms can challenge your patience. In my experience, workouts are more efficient and enjoyable in a home gym.
